KING & QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE
NEW WINNERS CROWNED
Pageants SA are proud to announce that the 2007 King & Queen of the Universe pageant was held in South Africa for the 7th year and saw contestants from all around the world take part in this prestigious competition.
The 2007 event was held at the Protea Hotel in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa from the 10th – 14th December and the competition was split into various age categories and open to all entrants, both male and female.
This is a pageant with a difference – the entrants are required to represent their forefathers and as a result of this, families start looking into their heritage and culture. The winners in each age category, together with their runner-ups, take part in charity and community work within their respective countries, thus brightening up the lives of those less fortunate than themselves. Some of the charity work involves includes visiting the sick and elderly in hospital, AIDS homes, children’s and old age homes as well as attending fundraising events. Judging took place as personal interviews, rehearsals, modeling skills, confidence and representation of their country.
This is a wonderful opportunity for people to find out more about other cultures and saw delegates from countries such as Netherlands, Bulgaria, Germany and United Kingdom represented, sharing their knowledge with each other.
We are very pleased to announce that the following contestants were crowned or received awards. |
